The Circus class started in September 2014 in response to the lack of affordable extracurricular physical and creative activities for the youth residing around Queens Road Peckham, one of the most deprived wards of Southwark.

Thanks to our collaboration with the Cossall estate TRA and our funding partners, we have, for the last 10 years, provided free weekly Circus classes to hundreds of children and families on low-income.

Our young participants get to learn and practice acrobatics and gymnastics, aerial with trapeze and silks and develop their coordination and balance through juggling, hula-hooping, playing with diabolo and performing tricks. The class culminates in a public end of year show presented and performed by the children to the local community, with our professional advice and technical support.

We are now part of the National Youth Circus Convention and are proud to report that some of our young people and children have now been accepted at reputable performing art schools.

Throughout the years, the Circus class has run thanks to funding from: Southwark Council, Peckham Settlement, United St Saviour's Charity, Newcomen Collett Foundation and St Olave's Foundation fund.
